Teaser Tuesdays

Quote a couple of spoiler-free sentences from the book you’re reading to tempt others.

I loved this book...I thought it did a marvelous job of evoking the rural South.

Simon, I suspect it is very much an example of Southern Gothic that you were seeking out recently. It definitely gripped my attention from the outset - fabulous opening line.

Mrs. B, did you know it was also a Virago? I fully intend to immerse myself in this later today.

Jackie, I love your enthusiasm! Your comment made me laugh. It is one of the most intriguing opening lines that I have read for some time and one that I had to share.
