Teaser Wednesday

Last night and today I attended two Audrey Niffenegger events; one was a reading and signing event at the Bloomsbury Theatre in conjunction with Foyles bookshoop and the other was a guided tour of Highgate Cemetery by the author herself, which was a prize I won via Waterstone's bookshop. A written account will follow tomorrow but for just now I will tease you with a photograph from each.

Oh, I can't wait to read your full account! Please make it long and detailed so we can experience as much of it as possibly vicariously through you :P

Ana, I most certainly shall :P.

Wow - you have a signed book! I was an idiot and didn't take my copy of Wolf Hall to the Southbank Centre with me so missed out there. Highgate cemetary looks appropriately eerie and beautiful. I look forward to reading the full update.

I don't especially care for Audrey Niffenegger (actually I should clarify: I don't really know anything about Niffenegger, but I am one of those people who did not love The Time Traveler's Wife with all my heart and soul) BUT that is immensely cool that you got to go on a guided tour lead by her! Talk about once in a lifetime opportunity!

Naomi, I was first in the queue! That's unfortunate about Wolf Hall but I am sure that Hilary Mantel will be in high demand from now and you will have another chance.
Highgate Cemetery is incredibly atmospheric.

Steph, I'm a fan (although it's been a long time since I read TTW) but it was a fantastic experience anyway and enjoying her books was icing.

Jill and JoAnn, I will oblige at some point today; I'm still gathering my thoughts.

I'm waiting to hear all about it - make sure you tell us all the gossip - especially things which she didn't mention at the evening talk.

I'm not sure that I can, Jackie! Yesterday she was very loyal to Highgate Cemetery and I think only mentioned HFS once; a lot of it tied in with the book though.

Rachel, I can't wait to tell you all about it!

Well this is all so exciting! I second Nymeth's request to write in as much detail as possible. I want the chill in the air, the smell of woodsmoke, scurrying of animals through the fallen leaves...you get the idea.

No pressure, then? ;)
