Only a mini-post today as I'm having a reading day/lazy day with my boyfriend. Tonight he is watching the Super Bowl with friends and I'm going for dinner with some of mine; we're also seeing one of the films showing as part of the Johnny Depp series at the BFI, the 1995 Dead Man where Depp plays a character named William Blake and one of the other characters believes he is the Romantic poet.
The lolcats image is apropos of nothing other than the fact that I found it funny. Personally I found the Twilight books addictive, like caffeine, but I know that they are not everyone's cup of tea. Moreover, when do I require an excuse to display my love of cats?!
Have a lovely Sunday.

Is that the black and white film, and it's all Wild West-y with stagecoaches and things? I think I maybe saw that ages ago...
I've been having a relaxing weekend too. My husband took the boys away for the weekend, so I've had plenty of time to read and write blog posts. Enjoy the film tonight!
I found Twilight really addictive too! I just couldn't help it, I was sucked in.
My goal for the day is to have all my cleaning and laundry done in time to watch the Superbowl tonight. We'll see if that happens.
I was completely addicted by the Twilight series too. I had food poisioning the week I bought the books and I ended up reading them all in five days.
Heh! I'd put that picture on my desktop, too. Love ginger cats and I quite like Twilight, too!
A Johnny Depp movie I haven't heard of? I need to go Google it!
Hope you managed to have a good reading day Claire. I had a good one yesterday - started Orlando and became hooked so I have almost finished it now.
Sounds like a lovely plan.
I could get past the first page of Twilight but it does sound like fun for those who are crazy over it (although Stephanie Meyers could benefit from a few writing classes from what I hear...). I suppose it's like Harry Potter and the Millennium trilogy - you either love it to bits or you hate it.
Jenny, it is indeed that one; it is one of the few Johnny Depp movies that I don't own on DVD, which is why I chose to see it, and I enjoyed it a lot.
Jackie, I hope you enjoyed your abundance of free time over the weekend.
Alana, that's the way I was for a few days pre-hype.
Hope you managed a productive day.
Vivienne, I love being able to devour a series of of books at once, especially if they are comfort reasons during illness.
Nicola, that surprises me! Twilight can appeal to so many different readers. The cat is such a cutie.
Jill, I recommend it! It is very surreal and arthouse but I loved its weirdness. It's a Western.
Karen, I'm so glad that you're enjoying Orlando! I actually had a weird reading day ... I couldn't seem to settle to any particular book and find something -like Orlando- that fully grabbed me.
Verity, it was a lovely day :).
Mae, oh, her writing is appalling but I read it for the storyline although I know that it doesn't grab others. It's definitely a marmite series.
