I believe that these things should be written down but I can also appreciate immensely why survivors would be reluctant to re-live the experiences.<br />The subject matter has amazing potential in the literary sphere, but I am afraid to say that Kirsten McKenzie didn't do it justice; she was certainly stronger historically on the resistance detail than she was about the labour camp, but that may be as a result of lack of resources.Paperback Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14579608422235511054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2837109525874407713.post-83703875539424118802009-06-26T12:42:32.795+01:002009-06-26T12:42:32.795+01:00My in-laws were both prisoners in labour camps in ...My in-laws were both prisoners in labour camps in Germany, in fact, that's how they met. They didn't talk about the past much but the little that was said was unbelievable. There seems to be a renewed interest of that period in time, or perhaps it's just me. Let's hope the material being written about it is worthy.Darlenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07415316482631852565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2837109525874407713.post-60433728335865350752009-06-26T09:16:41.809+01:002009-06-26T09:16:41.809+01:00Exciting - I am a cardholder so will have to inves...Exciting - I am a cardholder so will have to investigate that!verityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16825551404394913715noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2837109525874407713.post-40129361177285992782009-06-25T23:16:54.928+01:002009-06-25T23:16:54.928+01:00Hi Verity & Simon! As for non-cardholders, I'm not sure how to find it on website; I used a link via the facebook fantasy. Both have different processes for requests. It's pot-luck but a great opportunity.Paperback Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14579608422235511054noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2837109525874407713.post-53978372538348617652009-06-25T20:26:52.282+01:002009-06-25T20:26:52.282+01:00This sounds really interesting.
